Restaurant Supervisor – Bakery and Café

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Restaurant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a busy bakery and café in Abu Dhabi. The supervisor ensures exceptional guest experiences, maintains high service standards, leads front-of-house staff and supports the efficient running of the restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house operations for smooth service delivery.
• Lead, motivate and support staff to achieve operational and customer service excellence.
• Monitor staff performance, attendance, grooming and adherence to company policies.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, onboarding and performance management.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to keep adequate stock.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety regulations.
• Support promotional activities, sales initiatives and operational improvements.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures and prepare daily operational reports for management.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and presentation standards across dining and service areas.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, café, bakery or hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership, team management, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards; experience in premium bakery, café or casual dining concepts is highly desirable.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
