Robotics and Coding Teacher - Kids Club

About the role

Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a teacher to run robotics, coding and STEM activities for children in its kids club. The role covers planning and delivering hands-on lessons, supervising children safely, maintaining the learning area and coordinating with the Kids Club and Entertainment teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and run robotics, coding and STEM activities for children of different ages and skill levels, introducing programming concepts, logical thinking and computational thinking.
• Teach children to build, program and operate simple robots with age-appropriate kits and coding platforms.
• Supervise children during all sessions, ensure safe use of equipment and tools, and follow child protection and emergency procedures.
• Maintain the robotics and coding area, its inventory of kits, computers, tablets and components, and report faults or requests for new equipment.
• Communicate professionally with children, parents and guardians, give feedback on children's activities and gather feedback to improve activities.
• Follow activity schedules, coordinate with the Entertainment team, keep attendance and activity records, and help organise special events and workshops.
• Keep children's and families' personal information confidential and follow Rixos policies and the Operational Standards Manual.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, diploma or relevant qualification in robotics, computer science, engineering, education or STEM education preferred.
• Previous experience teaching robotics, coding, programming or STEM to children highly preferred.
• Good English and Russian; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays, and physically fit for rescue, standing and outdoor duties.

Required skills

• Familiarity with educational robotics kits, block-based coding platforms and basic programming concepts.
• Ability to explain technical concepts simply and engage children.
• Classroom or group management, teamwork with the Kids Club and Entertainment teams, and child safety awareness.
