Sales Business Development Executive

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development & Sales Executive with 2–4 years of experience in freight forwarding, focusing on sea and air freight. The role involves generating new business, acquiring customers, and building long‑term relationships within the UAE market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers for international sea and air freight services through cold calling, client visits, networking and referrals.
• Prepare freight quotations, negotiate rates and commercial terms, and coordinate with shipping lines, airlines and logistics partners.
• Develop sea freight (FCL/LCL) and air freight business for imports and exports, and cross‑sell road freight, customs clearance, warehousing and other services.
• Maintain regular follow‑ups, manage the sales pipeline and customer database, and report on sales activities and performance.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in freight forwarding sales and business development.
• Existing network of importers, exporters, trading companies or corporate clients in the UAE is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and client relationship management skills.
• Good command of English; Arabic is a plus, UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of sea freight and air freight operations.
• Understanding of FCL/LCL shipments and import/export procedures.
• Familiarity with Incoterms and international shipping documentation.
