Sales Executive - Events

About the role

The Luxury Collection is hiring a full-time, non-management Sales Executive for events at Ajman Saray A Luxury Collection Resort in Ajman, UAE. The role covers guest service, reservations and revenue-generating sales within the Marriott portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Contact guests by phone, fax or mail to resolve calls, requests and problems, and answer guest questions and concerns
• Use sales techniques that maximise revenue while keeping existing guests loyal to Marriott, including up-selling
• Determine and give complimentary gifts such as rewards points, show tickets or gift certificates
• Promote the brand image internally and externally
• Process reservation requests, changes and cancellations, and enter Marriott Rewards information into the reservation software
• Process requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points
• Perform general office duties supporting Sales & Marketing (filing, emails, typing, faxing)
• Assist management in training and motivating staff, and act as a role model
• Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate their needs and thank them sincerely
• Follow company policies, keep a clean professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and speak clearly and professionally
• Maintain positive working relationships, monitor colleagues' performance against quality standards, and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• No supervisory experience required
• No license or certification required
