SAP / LOTO Coordinator (8-10 Month Contract)

About the role

Kanadevia Inova, a global player in waste infrastructure and waste-to-X technology, is hiring an SAP / LOTO Coordinator for an 8-10 month contract in Abu Dhabi. The role leads the log-out / tag-out office and coordinates all permit-to-work arrangements for electrical activities on site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the log-out / tag-out office and coordinate all permit-to-work on the installation
• Prepare and manage safety documents (safe systems of work) for electrical activities, including switching schedules and the permit system
• Keep records of permits, conduct site inspections and lead the safe isolation of equipment
• Train personnel on authorization to carry out electrical and mechanical activities, and endorse the Senior Authorized Person (SAP) role for LV systems
• Coordinate with Commissioning Engineers so that all works are carried out safely
• Review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) against HSE requirements and ensure precautions protect workers during construction and commissioning
• Ensure HSEQ requirements are met, stop work when safety is compromised, and eliminate or mitigate HSE hazards with site management, HSE and Commissioning teams
• Work with the Site Manager, Commissioning Manager and Site HSE Manager, deliver lessons learned and take part in site meetings

Required profile

• Experience as a LoTo coordinator in industrial plants
• Experience as a site electrical supervisor in construction or a related field
• Degree in Electrical or equivalent
• SAP operational safety training from a recognized body or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of site experience as an active LoTo coordinator
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Required skills

• HSEQ experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical safety rules
• Valid safety contractor certificate (SCC), Safepass, CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
• SMSTS or equivalent site manager safety training
