SEN Teacher

About the role

Nibras International School is looking for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher. The role covers planning and delivering lessons, supporting students with special needs and gifted learners, working closely with the Psychology Department, and taking part in school life such as parent meetings and community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan lessons in advance and send lesson plans to the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator
• Prepare class materials, maintain the grade book and enter grades on time
• Design monthly assessments, grade assigned work and decorate the classroom
• Supervise the playground and record daily attendance
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department and the Academic Coordinator to support students with special needs, including gifted learners, and refer students with emotional, personal or family issues
• Take part in teacher meetings, workshops, parent meetings and school activities, and act as a mediator between students and the psychologist
• Help organise community service projects, fundraising, fairs and student subcommittees
• Contact parents for meetings and events, encourage attendance at ISP CBNH and PTA meetings, and collect assignments for portfolios
• Assign a student to record homework and monitor the Homework Board every two weeks
• Follow the work schedule, which varies by grade level, and dress in uniform or according to institutional policy

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in education
• Advanced English, fluent in speaking, reading and writing
• Proficiency in digital tools and intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Strong organisation, planning, analytical and communication skills, ability to work under pressure and leadership
