Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant specialized in Accounts Payable to lead and ensure accurate, timely processing of all AP activities across the organization. The role involves validating invoices, managing vendor reconciliations, supporting payments and maintaining compliance with financial policies and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Validate invoices and process payment batches after verification.
• Reconcile vendor accounts, monthly statements and related transactions.
• Prepare monthly expense accruals, bank reconciliations and weekly cash forecasts for AP.
• Monitor and maintain records of advances, retentions, liabilities, assets and bank guarantees.
• Ensure compliance with procure-to-pay processes, accounting policies, delegation of authorities and service-level agreements.
• Support internal, statutory and Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority audits by preparing required data and documentation.
• Assist the audit team during statutory audits and ensure proper documentation for compliance audits.
• Apply HSE policies, report hazards and participate in required safety training.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Accounts Payable processing and accuracy.
• Proven ability to validate financial data and adhere to compliance requirements.
• Effective vendor coordination and issue-resolution skills.
• Excellent time-management with a focus on meeting SLAs.
• Collaborative mindset with good communication and customer-service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
