Senior Accountant

About the role

IC Markets Global, a Forex CFD provider, is looking for a Senior Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations. The role covers day-to-day accounting, support of financial analysis and maintenance of accurate financial documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger accounts, ensure accurate entries and perform account reconciliation
• Carry out monthly and year-end closing activities
• Review supplier invoices and ensure accurate posting; prepare weekly bank reconciliations
• Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Ensure compliance with IFRS or other relevant accounting standards
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts, and analyze actual performance against them
• Prepare management reports, cash flow forecasts and financial summaries
• Prepare and submit tax returns on time, and support compliance with local tax laws, VAT and corporate tax regulations
• Liaise with the auditor and ensure statutory filings and compliance with financial regulations and company policies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field (CPA / ACCA / CMA preferred)
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience in the regulated broker CFD/forex space is a plus
• Exposure to tax preparation and statutory compliance

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or similar
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good communication and organization
