Senior Accountant

A well-established organization in the UAE is looking for a Senior Accountant to help maintain financial integrity and support strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in line with local regulations and international standards.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing so that all financial data is complete and accurate.
• Carry out detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
• Ensure VAT compliance, assist with tax filings and audits, and work with internal departments and external auditors.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and improve financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certification such as CPA or ACCA preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication with stakeholders; fluency in English, with Arabic an advantage.
