Senior Accountant

About the role

IC Markets Global, a Forex CFD provider, is looking for a Senior Accountant in Dubai. The role manages financial records, prepares reports and ensures compliance with accounting and tax regulations, covering day-to-day accounting, financial analysis support and accurate financial documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and perform month-end and year-end closing.
• Manage general ledger accounts, post supplier invoices accurately and prepare weekly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS or other relevant accounting standards, and liaise with the auditor on statutory filings.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts, and analyse actual performance against them.
• Prepare management reports, cash flow forecasts and financial summaries.
• Ensure timely submission of tax returns and support compliance with local tax laws, VAT and corporate tax regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field (CPA / ACCA / CMA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in the regulated broker CFD/forex space is a plus.
• Exposure to tax preparation and statutory compliance.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or similar.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, and good communication and organisational skills.
