Senior Automotive Design Engineer (R&D) – Immediate Joiner, Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Automotive Design Engineer (R&D) to lead the design and development of custom vehicle projects in Dubai. You will manage concepts through production, ensuring compliance with regional standards and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end automotive design and development for custom builds and modifications.
• Create high‑quality concept renders and detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
• Manage the product lifecycle from concept, prototyping, production, to testing.
• Validate designs for feasibility, manufacturability, and UAE/GCC compliance.
• Prepare BOMs, technical documentation, ECNs, and design revisions.
• Coordinate with production, fabrication workshops, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Mentor junior designers and engineers on best practices.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering or equivalent.
• 6–10+ years of experience in automotive design, vehicle modification or up‑fitting.
• Proven ability to lead projects and work under tight deadlines.
• Experience in the GCC market is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Geomagic Design, SketchUp.
• Expertise in sheet‑metal design, structural component design, and full‑vehicle assembly.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing feasibility, DFM/DFA principles, and vehicle modification standards.
