Senior Bartender

About the role

A growing retail group serving markets across the Middle East, which partners with fashion and lifestyle brands, is looking for a Senior Bartender. The role centres on providing knowledgeable, bespoke bar service, mixing drinks and wine pairings, and supporting the team to deliver excellent guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Meet guests' needs, provide bar service and assist with recommendations and upselling
• Mix cocktails and other drinks to recipe, curate fine-beverage recipes and recommend wine and food pairings
• Upsell beverages based on guests' needs and choices
• Support fellow bartenders and ensure drinks transactions are processed, registered and settled
• Set up the bar, arrange bottles and glasses attractively, and handle opening, closing and cleaning tasks
• Work with stewards to keep the bar area clean, tidy and stocked with glassware
• Oversee bar inventory, check expiry dates and record perishable garnishes
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists and highlight beverage replenishments to the manager or team leader
• Serve alcohol responsibly, in line with group policy and regulations
• Handle guest queries courteously and report unresolved complaints to team leaders
• Follow HACCP processes, F&B SOPs and health, safety and environment procedures

Required profile

• Higher Secondary School certificate
• Basic Food and Hygiene training
• 2-3 years of bartending experience in the international hospitality industry
