Senior Bartender

About the role

Viya, the UAE's leading golf and hospitality management group, is hiring a Senior Bartender for its Topgolf venue in Abu Dhabi. The role sits within the Food & Beverage Service department and reports to the Hospitality Manager or Assistant Hospitality Manager. Senior Bartenders deliver best-in-class hospitality, know spirits, beer and wine, keep the bar guest-ready and act as hosts who welcome guests and introduce them to food and beverage options.

Key responsibilities

• Greet every guest immediately in a friendly way, engage with them and look after them throughout their visit
• Prepare and serve drinks promptly according to Topgolf recipes and standards, maintaining good food hygiene
• Offer food and beverages from the bar and suggest premium menu items to enhance the guest experience and maximise sales
• Observe the rules of responsible alcohol service to protect guests and the community
• Set up and maintain bars, non-alcoholic beverage stations and F&B storage areas, keeping them stocked, organised and sanitary
• Maintain accurate spill logs during each shift to manage waste, and record all breakages and wastages in writing
• Handle cash and credit cards carefully and efficiently
• Wash, polish and store glassware properly to minimise breakage
• Follow health and safety procedures and service standards (timeliness, quality, accuracy, sanitation)
• Perform ordering, inventory and control of beverage products and supplies
• Apply the 4 Service Steps and the 4 Service Targets to internal and external customers, and follow information security policies and report any suspected breaches to the IT Service Desk
• Take part in extra activities such as committees and projects, and be trained as a Fire Marshall or First Aider
