Senior Bartender

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which brings together more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels and 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations, is looking for a Senior Bartender in Dubai. The role combines serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with supervising junior staff and supporting bar operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve classic cocktails, signature drinks and premium beverages to hotel standards and recipes.
• Engage with guests, understand their preferences and give personalised beverage recommendations.
• Supervise and support bartenders and bar attendants, ensuring smooth service and adherence to service standards.
• Maintain bar presentation, cleanliness, hygiene and organisation in line with hotel policies and food safety regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, run regular inventories, control wastage and ensure proper storage of beverages and bar supplies.
• Help develop cocktail menus, seasonal beverages and promotional offers.
• Ensure accurate billing, proper cash handling and correct posting of guest charges.
• Train and coach junior bartenders on drink preparation, product knowledge, upselling and guest service.
• Maintain bar equipment, glassware and tools, and handle guest requests and complaints professionally.
• Work with the F&B and culinary teams and comply with responsible alcohol service and local regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of bartending experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant or high-end bar; previous senior role experience is an advantage.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and ability to work in a multicultural team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines and beers, and excellent mixology skills.
• Good understanding of inventory management, stock control, cost management and upselling.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash-handling procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and responsible alcohol service.
