Senior Business Analyst - Back-Office Systems

About the role

A Senior Business Analyst is needed in Abu Dhabi to perform business analysis and requirements gathering with group-wide stakeholders (IT, Risk, Compliance, Customer Management, Finance & Operations and Business Departments). The role covers a GAP analysis of the current legacy back-office solution used across Retail Brokerage, Institutional Brokerage, Market Making/Liquidity Providing and Asset Management, in line with the company's future strategy, products and feature roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse detailed requirements and features of the current back-office solution across multiple business lines.
• Conduct a comprehensive system GAP analysis to identify gaps between the current back-office solution and the company's future strategy, products and roadmap.
• Evaluate and recommend enhancements to current and future features, system functionality, architecture, hardware and business processes, especially those needing automation.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation (Business Requirement Document) of features, processes, configurations and enhancements.
• Evaluate the back-office data structure and propose enhancements and best practices aligned with Data Governance.
• Facilitate and manage system specifications through detailed analysis with Business units, IT and vendors.
• Stay up to date on developments in brokerage back-office systems, including automation, data reconciliation, regulatory compliance and system integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration or Economics.
• At least 8 years of experience in financial services, focusing on back-office systems in brokerage, investment banking or capital markets, or in brokerage software houses implementing back-office solutions as Business Analyst/System Analyst.
• Extensive experience in the back-office of brokerage, trading or investment banking supporting electronic trading systems is mandatory.
• Preferably worked in a brokerage firm or a software house developing back-office systems for trading applications.

Required skills

• Business/functional requirements gathering and UAT case development and support, including Epic and Story development.
• JIRA (Epics, Stories), SharePoint, SQL queries, BPM tools (Bizagi, MS Visio).
• Data analysis and proficiency in software implementation and systems design, including UX.
