Senior Buyer – Procurement & Contracts

About the role

The Senior Buyer will lead the end‑to‑end procurement process, ensuring accurate purchase requests, competitive sourcing, and proper contract administration. This role works closely with requesters, vendors, and internal teams to secure goods and services that meet technical and commercial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review Purchase Requests (PR) and Scope of Work (SOW) for accuracy and completeness.
• Lead pre‑bid conferences and issue Invitations to Tender (ITT), Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
• Prepare technical and commercial evaluations, memos and final contractual documents such as Purchase Orders, Blanket Purchase Agreements and Service Maintenance Agreements.
• Maintain procurement files and data, track deliveries, resolve non‑conformances, and manage expediting and penalty reports.
• Enter and update procurement transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and monitor vendor payments.
• Coordinate reporting, support audits, and assist with inspections and reviews.
• Interact with functional organisations and vendors to obtain product specifications, pricing and quality information.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and develop new vendor relationships.
• Prepare security documentation and obtain gate‑pass approvals for vendor access.
• Travel to other locations as required and uphold confidentiality of company documents.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing or contract administration.
• Familiarity with reviewing purchase specifications and conducting pre‑bid activities.
• Ability to prepare and manage contractual documents and maintain accurate records.
• Experience handling vendor performance issues, deliveries and expediting processes.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and vendor development.
• Willingness to travel to other sites when needed.
