Senior Commissioning Engineer – Telecom Systems

About the role

NMDC Energy PJSC is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead the pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up of critical telecom systems on its Abu Dhabi projects. You will ensure all activities meet the highest technical and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise commissioning tasks for telecom assets such as PAGA, RADAR, RFID, UHF/VHF radios, antenna and telephone systems.
• Identify design discrepancies, conduct line walks, equipment inspections and vendor package readiness reviews.
• Participate in P&ID, HAZOP and HAZID reviews and produce method statements and work plans.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with other disciplines and manage vendor activities.
• Perform functional and operational testing, prepare technical databases and ensure adequate spares and temporary supplies.
• Report progress, flag potential delays and recommend corrective actions while complying with HSE standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• At least 4 years in a senior commissioning role.

Required skills

• Experience with PAGA, RADAR, RFID, UHF/VHF radio and antenna systems.
• Strong knowledge of pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up procedures.
• Proficiency in functional and operational testing of telecom equipment.
• Familiarity with P&ID, HAZOP, HAZID reviews and HSE compliance.
• Ability to produce method statements, work plans and technical documentation.
