Senior Commissioning Manager

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities for large‑scale EPC projects in Abu Dhabi. The role covers the full project lifecycle from FEED through EPC completion, ensuring safe and efficient handover of plant assets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction to PMC and contractor commissioning teams.
• Ensure commissioning feasibility and readiness from the FEED stage through EPC completion.
• Plan, direct and supervise all commissioning activities, providing technical and operational support.
• Supervise mechanical completion, performance testing and manage outstanding CARs and NCRs.
• Review and approve handover documentation, spare parts, consumables and maintenance schedules.
• Advise maintenance, engineering and other departments on complex technical matters.
• Manage commissioning teams and external contractors to meet budget, schedule and HSE requirements.
• Review commissioning procedures and P&IDs; participate in HAZOP, SIL and design review meetings.
• Engage in vendor workshops for acceptance testing and address technical shortfalls.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading commissioning on EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning feasibility, pre‑commissioning and start‑up phases.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Familiarity with HSE standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience reviewing technical documents and managing non‑conformances (CARs/NCRs).
