Senior Construction Supervisor – Instrumentation & Control

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Construction Supervisor for Instrumentation & Control (I&C) to lead on‑site activities for oil & gas projects in the UAE. The role ensures safe, on‑time delivery of I&C systems in line with drawings, specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day I&C construction, including installation of field instruments, control valves, analyzers, junction boxes, instrument panels, cabinets, tubing and cable trays.
• Monitor and coordinate DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC, SCADA and other safety/control system installations, ensuring compliance with IFC drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams and ITPs.
• Oversee instrument cable laying, glanding, termination, tubing installation, calibration, testing and loop checking, and support system readiness for commissioning.
• Manage contractor manpower, equipment productivity, and progress against schedule while resolving site constraints, material shortages and design discrepancies.
• Coordinate I&C interfaces with electrical, process, piping, mechanical, telecom, engineering and commissioning teams, and ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO and hazardous‑area Ex requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience (12 years for UAE nationals) with at least 5 years in a similar senior I&C supervisory role on major projects.
• At least 3 years of recent experience on projects in the GCC region.

Required skills

• Instrumentation and control system installation and supervision.
• Experience with DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC and SCADA systems.
• Hazardous‑area (Ex) compliance and certification.
• Instrument cable laying, glanding, termination and calibration.
• Loop checking, functional testing and commissioning support.
