Senior Consultant - Governance, Risk and Compliance Services

About the role

KPMG Middle East is hiring a Senior Consultant for its Governance, Risk and Compliance Services practice in Abu Dhabi. The role covers advisory work on risk, regulatory compliance, governance and internal controls for clients in the energy sector, and involves managing several projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses for clients in the energy sector.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies tailored to each client's needs.
• Provide advisory services on regulatory compliance, governance and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions and insights.
• Stay up to date with industry trends through market research.
• Help prepare client presentations and reports, explaining complex risk concepts clearly.
• Work with clients to understand their business objectives and tailor services to their challenges.
• Support leadership on proposals and business development.

Required profile

• Engineer degree plus a master's degree with relevant certifications; electrical, chemical, mechanical or petroleum engineering preferred.
• Minimum 4 to 7 years of consulting experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm, with a good understanding of the energy sector.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel on client engagements and work flexible hours.

Required skills

• Good presentation and data analytics skills (MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Comfortable working with databases and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of operations, maintenance, HSE, asset management, risk management, policies and procedures.
