Senior Counsel – Legal Services

About the role

The Senior Counsel will join ADIB's Head of Retail and General Legal Services team at the headquarters in Abu Dhabi. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, the role involves drafting, negotiating and managing a wide range of contracts and providing legal advice in both English and Arabic.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, negotiate and amend IT contracts, including software licence, hardware, professional services, maintenance and re‑seller agreements.
• Negotiate and amend lease, real‑estate developer, partnership, loyalty programme and other services agreements.
• Draft and negotiate confidentiality/NDA, memorandum of understanding, letters of intent and purchase orders.
• Ensure all contracts comply with new laws, regulations, standards and Shari’a‑compliant resolutions.
• Lead external counsel, internal stakeholders and vendors on special projects from initiation to successful closure.
• Provide legal consultation and advisory services to business units in English and Arabic.
• Advise on corporate finance and investment banking matters, including syndication transaction documentation, security documentation and credit support.
