Senior Data Engineer – Enterprise Data Platforms

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies for a leading client in Dubai. The role is a 12‑month contract, renewable, and requires immediate availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) solutions on Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop, optimise, and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines, notebooks, and dataflows using PySpark, Spark SQL and Azure services.
• Create and maintain dimensional models (fact and dimension tables) for reporting and analytics.
• Integrate data from multiple enterprise applications while ensuring performance, scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with BI teams to deliver curated datasets and semantic models for Power BI.
• Implement data quality, governance, security, monitoring and performance‑tuning best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering, enterprise data warehousing or BI.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale data and analytics platforms.
• Experience supporting AI, Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot and Agentic AI initiatives.
