Senior Draftsman - Joinery

About the role

Juma Al Majid Holding Group L.L.C. is looking for a Senior Draftsman Joinery in Dubai. The role prepares detailed shop, production and installation drawings for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects, including custom furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, vanities, reception counters, wall paneling, doors and partitions.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural and interior design drawings and produce accurate manufacturing drawings, including sections, elevations, plans and fabrication details.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, production teams and site engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Check project specifications against client requirements and approved material specifications, and revise drawings according to consultant comments, design changes and site conditions.
• Coordinate with procurement teams on hardware, accessories and materials, and prepare cutting lists, material schedules and hardware schedules.
• Work with CNC programming and factory production teams when needed, and conduct site visits to verify dimensions and resolve installation issues.
• Maintain drawing registers, document revisions, and support project handover with as-built drawings where required.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Drafting or a related field.
• Minimum 4-7 years of experience as a Joinery Draughtsman in interior fit-out or joinery manufacturing.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
