Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Rejlers International Engineering Solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead and execute multiple oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves preparing detailed electrical design documents, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute local and international electrical design projects, supporting bids and FEED/EPC phases.
• Prepare and finalize engineering document deliverable registers, ensuring timely submission per client contracts.
• Produce electrical design deliverables using MS‑Office, SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, cable sizing tools, and lighting calculations (DiaLux).
• Review vendor documents, generate RFQs, and ensure procurement inputs align with design requirements.
• Coordinate inter‑discipline reviews, obtain client approvals, and participate in E‑HAZOP, HAZID, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (BSc or MSc) with at least 15 years of electrical engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or chemical sectors.
• Proven experience on FEED and EPC projects delivered to ADNOC onshore standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), AutoCAD, MicroStation.
• Experience using ETAP, cable sizing tools, DiaLux for lighting calculations.
• Knowledge of relay setting and coordination, CT sizing, OHL, GIS, EHT, CP, OLCMS, IPCS, VSD.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, IEC and BS codes.
