Senior Engineer – Network Security Operations

About the role

Inception42 is seeking a senior engineer to own and improve enterprise network and security services, ensuring reliable, resilient, and secure connectivity across LAN, WLAN, WAN, and hybrid‑cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and enhance LAN, WLAN, WAN, Internet, VPN, and hybrid‑cloud connectivity, maintaining availability, performance, segmentation, and secure traffic flows.
• Configure and troubleshoot Aruba switches, wireless controllers, Cisco Catalyst/Nexus platforms, Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA services, and Azure networking components.
• Monitor service health, security events, capacity, and configuration drift; improve telemetry and SIEM integration.
• Lead complex incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and remediation, coordinating with cybersecurity, SOC, cloud, and service‑provider teams.
• Execute vulnerability remediation, configuration hardening, patching, and controlled changes with documented testing and rollback plans.
• Maintain network diagrams, inventories, backups, runbooks, and audit evidence; manage cabling, labeling, and as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 6+ years of enterprise networking or network‑security experience with hands‑on responsibility for production operations and incident resolution.
• Strong technical communication, disciplined documentation, and ability to coordinate changes across multiple technical teams.

Required skills

• Aruba switching and wireless configuration and troubleshooting.
• Cisco Catalyst and Nexus routing/switching (IOS XE/NX‑OS, VLANs, VRFs, OSPF/BGP, QoS, HA).
• Palo Alto firewall policy, NAT, VPN, HA, logging, and rule reviews.
• Zscaler ZIA/ZPA services operation (secure Internet, private‑application access, PAC files, inspection).
• Azure networking (VNets, subnets, peering, VPN Gateway, site‑to‑site/point‑to‑point VPN, UDRs, BGP, DNS, NSGs).
• Monitoring, SIEM integration, vulnerability remediation, incident and problem management.
