Senior Estimator

About the role

Aati Contracts is looking for a Senior Estimator in Dubai to support the Chief Estimator in preparing realistic and competitive estimates of labour and material costs for projects. The estimates help senior management evaluate the economic viability of each tender and decide whether to participate.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and submit value-engineered options for every tender to improve winning chances.
• Prepare the full tender bid, complete all pricing submissions and finalise all estimate and tendering aspects relevant to project implementation in the region.
• Assist the Chief Estimator in post-tender review and clarification with clients, aiming to secure jobs with maximum markups and profits.
• After award, prepare a summary of the job covering labour cost, material cost, quantities and quality of materials as specified by the client.
• Update the construction cost database to track purchased materials, labour and supplies, and oversee contracts that set cost and duration.
• Hand over completed tenders, jobs or packages in a timely way so the project team can take them over efficiently.
• Help implement estimating strategies with the Quantity Surveying department in a professional and cost-effective way.
• Prepare estimates for changes in labour and material costs caused by client-proposed drawing changes, and give them to the Quantity Surveyor for approval.
• Help draft a final report on pre- and post-completion costs so management can assess job profitability.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma in QS (Quantity Surveying).
• 4-6 years of experience in a large construction or interior fit-out company.
