Senior Finance Director

About the role

Business Umbrella is hiring a Senior Finance Director on behalf of a client in the UAE. Reporting to the CFO, you will be the principal finance execution lead, owning financial governance, performance management, reporting, compliance and systems, and making sure information presented to the CFO, Board, banks and auditors is accurate, timely and decision-ready.

Key responsibilities

• Governance and closing: own the monthly, quarterly and annual close, including accruals, provisions, inventory valuation and cost allocations under IFRS
• Planning and performance: lead budgets, reforecasts and long-range plans, with variance analysis and scenario and sensitivity models
• Management and board reporting: deliver monthly MIS packs with commentary and KPIs, weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts, and analysis for lenders and auditors
• Cash and treasury support: control receivables, payables and inventory, support banking relationships, facilities reporting and covenant tracking
• Tax, compliance and audit: oversee VAT and corporate tax filings, coordinate statutory audits and maintain strong internal controls
• Cost and margin control: monitor product costing, yield, wastage and overhead absorption, and identify margin leakage and savings
• ERP governance: act as finance owner of ERP (SAP Business One) data integrity, reports and controls
• Policies and risk: maintain finance policies and SOPs, and identify and escalate financial risks
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team and build a resilient finance structure

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• 10+ years in finance, including senior management exposure
• Strong experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments
• Sound financial judgement, governance mindset and confident communication with senior stakeholders

Required skills

• CPA / ACCA / CMA strongly preferred
• Hands-on SAP Business One experience preferred

Location: Sharjah, UAE (on-site), 5 days a week, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
