Senior Finance Manager

About the role

ADNOC Schools, operated by Aldar Education, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager based at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, supporting all four of its campuses. The school follows the Massachusetts State Curriculum and offers a 21st-century curriculum with modern facilities. The position starts immediately.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the 5-year business plan and manage annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts, working with principals, operations and corporate functions
• Review principal MIS reports, present financial results to committees and leadership, and validate monthly balance sheets
• Oversee month-end close, review accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets, bank reconciliation and general ledger, and enforce ERP budget controls
• Lead the annual external audit, ensure timely submission of audited statements to ADEK, handle fee-increase applications, support internal audit and ICFR, and file VAT on time
• Drive cost-saving initiatives, strengthen internal controls and standardise processes across schools
• Maintain relationships with banks, auditors and stakeholders, and act as a trusted financial advisor
• Lead and mentor the finance team, set KPIs, run performance reviews and plan for succession

Required profile

• Certificate in Accountancy (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), MBA or equivalent professional degree in accounts and finance
• More than 10-13 years of experience in accounts and finance, especially in a managerial role
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Attention to detail, multitasking under pressure, commercial acumen and strong supervisory skills
• Ability to influence people and network with cultural sensitivity
