Senior Front End Developer

About the role

OrbicTrade is an AI-enabled front-office and risk platform for commodity traders, connecting deal capture, confirmation and risk with existing CTRM, ERP and data platforms. It is looking for an experienced Senior Front End Developer to join its growing product team in Dubai. You will own the interfaces used by traders and risk teams during the trading day, such as deal capture and review screens, trade blotters, approval workflows, dashboards and risk views.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the OrbicTrade web application and admin portal
• Build fast, reliable screens for deal capture, trade review, approvals, blotters, dashboards and VaR reporting
• Create review experiences showing AI-extracted fields, confidence levels and source text so users can correct and approve quickly
• Build interfaces for in-channel capture from tools such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp
• Maintain a reusable component library and front-end standards
• Integrate with REST APIs and event-driven services, working with backend engineers on API contracts
• Implement role-based access, four-eyes approval flows and audit views in the UI
• Optimise rendering and responsiveness for large data grids and frequently updated data
• Write unit, component and end-to-end tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the front end
• Resolve issues across development, testing, UAT and production, and take part in design reviews
• Provide technical guidance, code review and mentorship to other developers

Required profile

• At least 7 years of hands-on front-end development experience
• Experience building complex, data-heavy interfaces such as trading screens, blotters, grids or dashboards
• Strong understanding of state management, performance optimisation and browser behaviour
• Experience consuming REST APIs, with OAuth2 and SSO authentication flows
• Experience with automated testing, version control and CI/CD
• Good understanding of responsive design, accessibility and design systems
• Experience working with product, design and business stakeholders on enterprise software

• React and TypeScript in production applications
• Server-side rendering, such as Next.js
• REST APIs, OAuth2 and SSO
• Unit, component and E2E testing, CI/CD

Preferred: commodity trading, energy, capital markets or financial-services technology; trade lifecycle knowledge; AI product interfaces with human review; Microsoft 365 add-ins, Teams apps or WhatsApp Business integrations; charting and enterprise data-grid libraries; AWS Amplify, CDN deployment and containers; ISO 27001 security awareness.
