Senior HSE Manager - Construction

About the role

The Senior HSE Manager will establish and maintain a robust health, safety, and environmental framework for construction projects, ensuring compliance with UAE and international standards while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute HSE strategies and plans for construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and international HSE regulations.
• Identify, assess, and manage construction‑related risks.
• Oversee contractor and subcontractor HSE performance.
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments and lead incident investigations.
• Define, monitor and report HSE KPIs to project leadership.
• Promote safety culture through training and engagement initiatives.
• Integrate HSE requirements into project execution and manage environmental controls and waste management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Engineering or related field.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
• Minimum 10 years of HSE experience, primarily in construction.
• Proven ability to manage HSE teams, contractors and drive behavioral change.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus.
