Senior Internal Auditor – Risk‑Based Audit Lead

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor will lead risk‑based audit engagements, providing independent assurance over governance, risk management and internal controls. This role combines analytical rigor with stakeholder engagement to deliver high‑quality audit outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, report and close audit engagements end‑to‑end for assigned projects.
• Perform risk‑based audit procedures, assess design and operating effectiveness of controls, and identify gaps.
• Apply data‑analytics techniques to broaden audit coverage and support conclusions.
• Ensure audit work complies with internal methodology and IIA Standards.
• Prepare comprehensive audit documentation and contribute to management reporting.
• Build strong relationships across the business, communicate findings clearly, and drive timely closure of recommendations.
• Contribute to the development of the annual risk‑based audit plan.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, digitisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Coach junior team members and support their development.
• Take ownership of personal development, especially technical and data‑analytics capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional certification (CIA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred or in progress.
• 5‑7 years of internal audit experience in complex or multinational environments.
• Strong understanding of risk management and internal control frameworks such as COSO.
• Experience with data‑analytics or technology‑enabled auditing techniques.
