Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

A leading holding company is looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to oversee legal affairs across several business divisions, provide strategic legal guidance and ensure strong corporate governance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal advisory, compliance and risk management across corporate, commercial, real estate, energy and investment operations.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, shareholder agreements, investment contracts, MOUs and partnership agreements.
• Advise on corporate governance, company structuring, board resolutions and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee real estate legal matters, property transactions, ownership structures and RERA compliance.
• Manage litigation, disputes and regulatory matters, and coordinate with external legal counsel and authorities.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and advise senior management on legal risks and strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable DIFC, commercial, employment, investment and corporate laws and regulations.

Required profile

• Law degree from a recognised Common Law jurisdiction; a Master's degree in Law is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of legal experience, including at least 5 years in Dubai.
• Strong knowledge of DIFC regulations, corporate and commercial law, real estate, investments and corporate governance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong command of English; Arabic is preferred.
