Senior Manager Aviation Security

About the role

Lead the development and implementation of the long‑term aviation security strategy for Abu Dhabi Airports, ensuring compliance with GCAA requirements and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and communicate security objectives, KPIs and budget aligned with organisational goals.
• Establish and maintain security policies, master plans, contingency plans and advanced technology programmes.
• Oversee security operations across multiple airports, including equipment compliance and incident response.
• Collaborate with COO, airport General Managers, regulatory authorities and law‑enforcement agencies.
• Lead change‑management initiatives, stakeholder communication and automation opportunities.
• Supervise, coach and evaluate the security team, supporting Emiratization and performance management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Airport Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in aviation security management.
• Proven leadership and people‑management capabilities.

• Extensive knowledge of aviation security regulations and standards.
• Crisis management and emergency response coordination.
• Implementation of security technology, automation and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder management and communication with regulatory bodies.
