Senior Manager Project Engineering

About the role

The Senior Manager Project Engineering manages the engineering scope of projects, sets organizational priorities and allocates resources to multiple related teams. The role supports projects, products, services and technologies, develops policies and plans, and reports to the Director of Engineering while liaising with project engineers, discipline leads, controls, finance and proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the engineering scope of projects and establish procedures so deliverables meet quality and technical requirements through contract documents
• Administer and technically manage the Project Engineering department, including budget and salary planning, recruitment and staffing levels
• Provide leadership and training, identify and correct performance gaps, and maintain company processes and procedures
• Allocate resources for quality, on-time and cost-effective delivery, and control cost, schedule, quantity and budget
• Coordinate with other departments, offices, fabrication and construction teams, and manage changes proactively
• Monitor project performance, participate in monthly project reviews and execute the Project Engineering Assessment (PEA)
• Support proposal development, the Lessons Learned process and continuous improvement
• Own and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures, and ensure mandatory training is completed on time

Required profile

• 20+ years of proven experience in project engineering management
• Management of offshore oil and gas projects at the EPC Detailed Engineering stage (fixed platforms and pipelines)
• Extensive Middle East project experience; Adnoc project experience preferred
• Experience of multiple office engineering executions
• B.Eng / B.Sc in Engineering (minimum); Master's degree or Chartered Engineer preferred
• Discipline engineer background
