Senior Mechanical Engineer – Site Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead on‑site mechanical projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing design reviews, installations, testing and commissioning while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering projects and supervise a multidisciplinary team on‑site.
• Review mechanical designs, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and calculations for industrial and commercial projects.
• Conduct on‑site inspections, supervise installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and propose innovative solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and inspectors, fostering their professional development.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes and authority regulations.
• Implement sustainable engineering practices and prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in industrial or commercial projects.
• Proven experience leading on‑site teams and managing large‑scale mechanical installations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and industry standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and communication skills.
