Senior Mechanical Engineer - Static Greenfield

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specialized in static equipment to lead the design and delivery of greenfield projects for a major energy client in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of static plant components, ensuring safety, compliance and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of static equipment for greenfield projects, from concept through detailed engineering.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical solutions with overall project requirements.
• Ensure all designs meet client specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve technical documentation, calculations and vendor data.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering of static equipment within the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
