Senior Multidiscipline Inspector

About the role

The Senior Multidiscipline Inspector will lead third‑party inspection activities for onshore and offshore oil & gas and petrochemical projects. You will ensure compliance with international codes, vendor quality systems, and project specifications across welding, mechanical equipment, coating, and testing disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor/manufacturer documents, material certificates, and purchase order specifications.
• Conduct material receiving inspections and endorse welding qualifications.
• Approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, NCRs, and concession requests.
• Monitor and approve welding, PWHT, NDT, radiography, and hydrostatic/pneumatic testing.
• Inspect pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pressurised piping, and structural works during fabrication.
• Oversee surface preparation, painting, insulation, and coating inspections.
• Raise non‑conformance reports and verify corrective actions.
• Prepare concise weekly and monthly inspection reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Welding or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years experience in oil & gas/petrochemical third‑party inspection.
• Proven liaison with EPC contractors and strong written English skills.
• Computer literate and familiar with ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO and BS codes.

Required skills

• CSWIP 3.2 or AWS‑Senior certification.
• CWI or ERS welding inspection qualification.
• PCN Level II, BGAS Level 2 or NACE Level 1 certification.
• Advanced NDT methods and ability to assess NDT procedures.
• Knowledge of ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO, BS standards.
• Experience with ITP review, material control, and NCR handling.
