Senior Network Automation Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Network Automation Engineer at Netskope, you will own the health and performance of a global, multi‑vendor network that powers the company’s Security Service Edge platform. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations, proactive risk mitigation, and continuous improvement of the infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco IOS/NX‑OS, Juniper Junos and Arista EOS routers and switches.
• Manage BGP peering sessions, route policies, path selection and prefix filtering across hundreds of sessions.
• Install new ISP transit links, monitor capacity and coordinate with providers worldwide.
• Configure firewalls, load balancers and GTM/GSLB components, including rule sets, NAT policies and SSL offload.
• Monitor network health, analyze dashboards, perform packet captures and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Upgrade software on production devices with documented rollback procedures.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on network engineering in production internet‑facing data‑center or SaaS environments.
• Strong documentation habits (change records, runbooks, architecture diagrams).
• Experience with Linux scripting and hypervisor networking (KVM/ESXi).

Required skills

• Multi‑vendor routing and switching: Cisco, Juniper, Arista.
• Expert‑level BGP configuration and troubleshooting (IPv4/IPv6).
• Firewall operations: Juniper SRX, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD.
• Load balancer and GTM/GSLB: F5 BIG‑IP, Citrix ADC.
• Protocol knowledge: L2‑L7, spanning‑tree, LACP, MLAG, VLANs, OSPF, DNS, NTP, SNMP, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS.
• Network monitoring platforms, Wireshark, tcpdump.
• Linux administration and basic scripting.
