Senior Operator (Process-Oil & Gas)

About the role

The Senior Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring and controlling assigned process units in an oil and gas plant. The role ensures that production meets specification, safety and environmental standards while maximizing plant yield.

Key responsibilities

• Operate control panels and Integrated Control System to maintain safe and efficient plant operation.
• Log operating incidents, perform routine equipment checks and arrange servicing or repairs.
• Supervise maintenance preparation, start‑ups, shutdowns and emergency procedures.
• Authorize work permits, monitor contractor activities and enforce safety regulations.
• Adjust process variables such as speed, temperature, pressure and flow rates as required.
• Measure and control chemical dosing, ensuring correct types and concentrations.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of relevant operational experience in oil & gas processing.
• Strong knowledge of plant safety, HSE requirements and emergency response.
• Ability to read and interpret instrument readings and control panel data.
• Experience supervising contractors and managing work permits.
