Senior Principal Process Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Principal Process Engineer to lead discipline teams on large‑scale projects in Abu Dhabi. The role combines technical leadership, project execution and business development to deliver safe, sustainable and profitable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise discipline teams, ensuring safe and sustainable engineering, quality, cost and schedule delivery.
• Support business development by preparing execution strategies, estimating costs and contributing to proposals.
• Manage project execution, scope, cost and schedule, driving innovative solutions and change management.
• Oversee technical competency, standards compliance, peer reviews and documentation quality.
• Provide procurement support, integrating equipment specifications and vendor information.
• Assist site teams with constructability, operability and maintainability reviews and on‑site issue resolution.

Required profile

• 4‑ or 5‑year degree in science or engineering; active local engineering licence where required.
• 15+ years of relevant process engineering experience and at least 3 years in project leadership.
• Proven ability to lead large, multi‑office projects and mentor junior staff.
• Strong communication skills and experience in risk management, quality and cost control.

Required skills

• NGL processing and gas treatment expertise.
• Sulphur handling, separation and gas compression knowledge.
• Feasibility and conceptual engineering studies, simulations and economic analysis.
• Licensor process specification, evaluation and integration into contractor designs.
• Adequacy studies, facility upgrades and modification implementation.
• Hydrogen and ammonia production processes (preferred).
