Senior Process Engineer - Oil & Gas EPC Midstream

About the role

NOV is looking for a Senior Process Engineer for its oil and gas EPC midstream business in Dubai. The role requires 10 to 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, fluency in process design and process software, and site experience. It involves coordinating the process team, mentoring junior engineers and delivering technically accurate, on-budget and on-schedule process designs.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the process lead/discipline manager to define the process team's objectives and provide process engineering input to other disciplines
• Interface with other disciplines, vendors and required parties, and act as representative in technical design reviews (P&ID, HAZOP, SIL, HAZID, client and vendor meetings)
• Execute feasibility studies, conceptual design and process studies
• Develop and assist others in key design documents such as heat and material balance, PFD, P&ID and data sheets
• Mentor and coach junior process engineers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Ensure deliverables meet quality procedures, project plans, budget and schedule, and comply with HSEQ requirements
• Write technical reports, scopes of work and technical queries, and suggest improvements to processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering
• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in oil and gas (midstream) EPC
• Site experience and fluency in process design and process software
• Good knowledge of industry standards such as API, Shell DEP, Saudi Aramco and ADNOC standards
• Experience with package designs such as gas dehydration and sweetening, crude oil treatment and produced water treatment
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Line hydraulics, pump and control valve sizing, PSV sizing, blowdown and equipment sizing
