Senior Procurement Engineer (MEP Equipment)

About the role

A proactive and resourceful Senior Procurement Officer is sought with 4 to 6 years of proven experience in the UAE market, specializing in the procurement of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) equipment and tools. The role suits someone with hands-on knowledge of local and international suppliers, pricing trends and product specifications relevant to the UAE construction and facilities sector.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and procure MEP tools, materials and equipment according to project and operational needs.
• Identify reliable suppliers in the UAE and internationally, ensuring competitive pricing, timely delivery and quality assurance.
• Issue RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate terms and finalize purchase orders.
• Coordinate with engineering, technical and site teams to clarify specifications and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain vendor databases, procurement records and inventory levels.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage long-term vendor relationships.
• Ensure procurement complies with internal policies and UAE regulations, and assist in optimizing processes for cost savings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of procurement experience in the UAE, preferably in construction or MEP.
• Sound knowledge of MEP tools and equipment used in the UAE market.
• Familiarity with UAE vendor networks.
• Preferred: UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement systems such as Odoo.
• Strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills.
