Senior Procurement Officer – Dubai

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for high‑value purchases in Dubai. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end tendering, contract administration, and cost‑control activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers to secure quality, competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Lead the sourcing process for strategic purchases, including RFQ/RFP preparation, bid evaluation and supplier negotiations.
• Manage the full tendering cycle for major procurement packages and coordinate contract approvals with legal and finance teams.
• Review purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders in the ERP system, monitor open PO status and resolve vendor issues.
• Conduct cost analysis, drive savings through negotiation and value engineering, and support budget planning.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards and relevant regulations (ISO, HSE, ESG).
• Prepare procurement reports, KPI dashboards and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Collaborate with projects, finance, operations and legal teams to align procurement with business needs.
• Mentor junior procurement staff and share best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management, preferably in a senior capacity.
• Strong knowledge of tendering, contract management and procurement best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with a track record of delivering cost savings.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders.
• Familiarity with compliance, risk management and relevant standards (ISO, HSE, ESG).
