Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer (Indirect) leads the end‑to‑end acquisition of non‑production goods and services, ensuring purchases are cost‑effective, compliant and aligned with business needs. Reporting to the Category Manager, you will support operational continuity by processing requisitions, managing supplier relationships and contributing to the annual procurement plan.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle for indirect categories, adhering to policies and regulations.
• Validate and process purchase requisitions and orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee on‑time delivery and service quality.
• Monitor purchase orders, supplier performance and contract execution, maintaining accurate records.
• Resolve issues such as delivery delays, order discrepancies or damaged goods.
• Support spend analysis, demand forecasting and market intelligence to shape sourcing strategies.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, process improvements and value‑creation initiatives.
• Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports on procurement performance, budget utilization and savings.
• Ensure compliance with governance, internal controls and audit requirements.
• Build strong cross‑functional relationships and provide procurement guidance to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Management or a related field.
• Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CPP) is a plus.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain.
• Experience managing indirect procurement in a large corporate or healthcare environment preferred.
• Proven track record with procurement systems, purchase order management and supplier coordination.
