Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the role

The Senior Project Manager manages, executes and delivers hospitality, commercial and residential development projects within time, quality and budget parameters. The role covers steering projects from design inception through construction to handover, working with businesses, commercial entities, planning and facility management departments, and integrating Al Futtaim brand products where possible.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of external and internal consultants, contractors and commercial staff, delegate tasks, train them and coach them regularly.
• Ensure projects meet quality standards so that a Completion Certificate can be obtained, and monitor progress against programme targets.
• Keep project costs within viability limits, submit cost reports on time and deliver within or below budget.
• Inform the team of value-added buildability options and run regular value engineering exercises.
• Ensure the project team is adequately staffed, direct works and give on-the-job training to engineers.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities and completed documentation needed for completion certificates.
• Evaluate and take part in selecting suppliers and contractors.

Required profile

• 15-20 years of experience in the construction field from a project management background.
• Minimum of 10 years in a leadership position in a multinational environment.
• University degree in Civil Engineering and Building.

Required skills

• Project management proficiency with major project experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel) and MS Project.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills in a multinational setting.
