Senior Project Manager - Design

About the role

Hill International (Middle East) Limited is looking for a Senior Design Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead the planning, design, coordination and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, including marine works. The role ensures compliance with client requirements, regulatory standards and industry best practices, and provides strategic direction and technical leadership across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for infrastructure delivery and marine works
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
• Manage contracts with external vendors and contractors, and negotiate contracts with clients, contractors and partners
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for infrastructure projects
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, and manage risk and issues during delivery
• Oversee planning, design, procurement, construction and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects on schedule, within budget and to quality standards
• Manage a team of engineers, project managers and construction workers
• Engage with clients, government agencies and regulatory bodies
• Manage project budgets, prepare progress reports and promote a culture of continuous improvement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 20 years' experience, with at least 5 years in the GCC, in infrastructure design and construction management for large-scale GCC infrastructure (roads and utilities) and community development projects
• Strong experience in roads, utilities and urban development
• Proven background in PMC / consultancy and multidisciplinary coordination environments
