Senior Project Manager – Master Planning and Infrastructure

About the role

WSP is looking for a highly qualified and experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong technical background in infrastructure and/or master planning to lead and oversee the design of complex Land Development projects in the UAE. The successful candidate will bring extensive planning and design-stage project management experience and a strong technical understanding of Land Development disciplines such as master planning, infrastructure, transport planning, landscaping and sustainability. The ideal candidate has UAE planning and design experience and can lead multi-disciplinary land development teams through projects from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage Land Development master planning and design projects (Master Planning, Transport Planning, Roads, Utilities, Landscape), aligned with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Build and lead cross-functional project teams, giving guidance, mentorship and motivation.
• Cultivate client relationships and ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations within budget.
• Develop project budgets, monitor and control expenditures and allocate resources efficiently.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Create a work breakdown structure, schedules and quality plans; control progress, scope and quality, and manage changes and scope creep.
• Manage procurement, including Main Agreement execution, change control and supplier/subcontractor appointments.
• Establish stakeholder and communication plans and manage stakeholder feedback and approvals.

Required profile

• Proven project management experience on the planning and design of large and complex Land Development projects in the UAE.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Land Development (e.g. Civil Engineering, Utilities, Roads, Transport Planning, Master Planning).
• Degree in a Land Development discipline preferred (e.g. Civil Engineering, Utilities, Roads, Transport Planning, Master Planning).
