Senior Purchasing Specialist

About the role

The Senior Purchasing Specialist will lead procurement activities for ADNOC and its group companies, ensuring the acquisition of goods and materials aligns with corporate procedures and strategic objectives. This role involves managing tender processes, vendor selection, and purchase order execution across domestic and international suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Execute category management and group initiatives to leverage economies of scale.
• Supervise sub‑teams, ensuring compliance with KPIs, procedures, HSE standards, and company policies.
• Review and validate purchase requisitions, coordinate with end users to develop annual procurement plans, and recommend suitable vendors.
• Prepare RFQ packages, conduct pre‑bid meetings, and manage bid opening committees.
• Analyze bids, negotiate terms, obtain approvals, and issue purchase orders in line with company processes.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, expedite deliveries, and support budgetary offers for major items.
• Identify and recommend process improvements in line with UAE regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within a large organization, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of tendering, RFQ preparation, and contract award procedures.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to lead teams and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
