Bus Driver Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a professional and decisive Bus Team Leader to join our transportation team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role you will oversee and coordinate bus operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and high‑quality service while motivating and supporting your drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of bus drivers, providing guidance, support and performance feedback.
• Coordinate daily bus operations, including route assignments and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
• Implement and monitor driver training programs.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure proper vehicle upkeep.
• Analyze route efficiency and suggest improvements.
• Handle emergency situations and make quick, informed decisions.
• Prepare and submit reports on team performance and operational metrics.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in bus operations or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience with strong team‑management skills.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Strong time‑management and organisational capabilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of bus operations and safety regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s licence.
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
• Familiarity with the public transportation industry in Abu Dhabi.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
