Senior RBI Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk‑Based Inspection (RBI) Engineer to lead offshore asset integrity management. The role focuses on developing, implementing and maintaining RBI programs for pressure equipment and piping systems, ensuring reliability and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain RBI assessments for offshore facilities using API 580/581 methodologies.
• Conduct qualitative, semi‑quantitative and quantitative RBI studies for vessels, piping, heat exchangers, tanks and related equipment.
• Establish optimized inspection strategies and intervals based on risk profiles and update them with new data.
• Perform integrity assessments, create inspection plans, corrosion control programs and fitness‑for‑service evaluations.
• Review inspection reports, NDT results and remaining‑life calculations to identify damage mechanisms.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and support offshore campaigns, shutdowns and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in inspection, asset integrity, corrosion or RBI engineering within oil & gas facilities.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on RBI assessment experience on offshore production assets.
